St. Martin’s will join Episcopal schools across the country for the Episcopal Schools Celebration on Sunday, October 5, during the 10:00 a.m. service at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church (2216 Metairie Road in Old Metairie). This special day honors the ministry of the more than 800 Episcopal schools and early childhood programs throughout The Episcopal Church. The Rt. Rev. Shannon Rogers Duckworth will be the celebrant. Whitney Drennan ’94, Head of St. Martin’s Episcopal School, will also take part in the service by reading a lesson. A reception will follow, and we invite all St. Martin’s families to join us in worship and fellowship as we celebrate Episcopal Schools.

Childcare for children ages 6 months to three years old will be provided during the service from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Children ages 4-12 are invited to attend Godly Play, a joyful time of storytelling, wondering, and discovery as they grow in faith. Godly Play begins at 9:45 a.m., preceding the 10:00 a.m. service; children return to their families in the pews during The Peace.
