Strategic Priorities
St. Martin’s will continuously refine and expand its academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular offerings to ensure every student experiences engaging, rigorous, and meaningful opportunities for growth—intellectually, personally, and in preparation for life beyond St. Martin’s. We will achieve this by:
- Conducting strategic evaluations of co- and extracurricular programs to ensure quality, sustainability, and alignment with enrollment trends, while reinforcing St. Martin’s whole-child philosophy and 4-Dimensional Curriculum (Knowledge, Skills, Meta-learning, and Character) approach to education.
- Prioritizing and streamlining programs that are most impactful, mission-driven, and student-centered, ensuring strong, engaging learning experiences from early childhood through graduation that reflect St. Martin’s exceptional athletic, academic, and fine arts programs.
- Expanding offerings in areas of growing importance (AI, environmental science, experiential learning, global studies, design) and leveraging enrollment and outcomes data to amplify high-impact academic programs.
- Preparing StM students to thrive at highly selective colleges and beyond through a forward-thinking college and career program that blends immersive experiences, cross-disciplinary exploration, and real-world insight to develop confident graduates ready to excel in a variety of fields.
St. Martin’s will strengthen our vibrant, inclusive community while elevating our profile and impact beyond the school. We will deepen trust and satisfaction among students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff; and expand strategic partnerships in the greater community by:
Continuing to attract, retain, and invest in high-performing faculty and staff who are committed to the mission of the school, reflect and enhance our supportive and diverse community, and serve as national educational leaders.
Continuing to elevate St. Martin’s profile through consistent messaging and increasing local recognition by hosting signature events that welcome the New Orleans community to experience the school’s offerings.
Building strategic partnerships with civic, business, and Episcopal organizations through co-hosted programs and service, and deepening ties with Episcopal Diocese, its churches, and schools through shared chapel services, campus visits, and Episcopal Schools Week celebrations.
Strengthening alumni engagement and networking through event participation, mentoring and internship opportunities, and an annual speaker series featuring graduates in panels, chapel talks, and workshops.
St. Martin’s will proactively upgrade and revitalize its campus to ensure an exceptional environment for learning, safety, and growth by:
Developing and implementing a comprehensive Facilities and Grounds Plan that leverages the uniqueness of our picturesque 18-acre campus—featuring athletics, arts, and innovation facilities—while identifying enhancements, funding sources, and timelines to ensure its long-term vitality.
Continuing to prioritize safety and security through audits, training, and emergency protocols to ensure the well-being of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Investing in facility improvements that elevate St. Martin’s reputation for excellence, showcase innovative programs, and ensure our campus reflects the high quality of education and opportunities offered.
Launching and completing short-term campus projects within the next three fiscal years, focusing on improvements that enhance the student experience.
St. Martin’s will ensure long-range financial sustainability through strategic management of tuition, philanthropy, and auxiliary resources by:
Expanding enrollment and retention by strengthening family relationships and enlarging existing pipelines to attract even more families who value, support, and invest in a St. Martin’s education.
Increasing philanthropic investments through events, campaigns, and targeted giving opportunities that invite donors to invest in St. Martin’s future and support the programs shaping students’ lives today.
Evaluating and maximizing auxiliary income sources to enhance profitability and sustainability, and launching new revenue streams to ensure long-term growth and vitality.
Growing the endowment through gifts and legacy commitments that provide lasting financial stability and secure St. Martin’s strength for generations to come.
