St. Martin’s Episcopal School’s Summer Theatre Camp offers a premier musical theatre education for students across the metro New Orleans area. Our program challenges and inspires young performers in a supportive, welcoming environment. Open to students in grades rising 3rd-rising 8th, we provide individual attention and an engaging experience, ensuring that every child feels encouraged to grow and shine.
Participants work closely with professional artistic staff, gaining invaluable insight and experience in musical theatre, culminating in two live public performances in St. Martin’s state-of-the-art Solomon Theater on Thursday, June 18 and Saturday, June 20.
Step into the wonderfully whimsical world of Dr. Seuss in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical celebration of imagination, loyalty, and the power of believing in yourself! Featuring beloved characters and stories from The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who!, and Gertrude McFuzz, this high-energy musical is packed with catchy songs, colorful characters, and nonstop fun.
When Horton the Elephant discovers a tiny world living on a speck of dust, he must protect the Whos of Whoville—no matter how small they seem—while facing ridicule and danger from those who don’t believe. Along the way, Horton learns the importance of friendship, responsibility, and standing up for what’s right, proving that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” Bursting with heart, humor, and imagination, Seussical JR. is the perfect show for young performers to shine!
