The Power of Our Parent Community

At St. Martin’s Episcopal School, parent partnership is foundational to who we are. The support, energy, and dedication of St. Martin’s families are woven into the daily life of our campus and have a profound impact on our students’ experiences.

Whether serving through the Saints Community Organization (SCO), volunteering in classrooms, helping organize events, or contributing through fundraising efforts, our parents play a vital role in the life of the school. Their involvement reflects a deep commitment not only to their own children’s success, but to the strength of the entire community.

Our parents don’t just support St. Martin’s—They help elevate it.

Tuition provides the essential foundation for operations at St. Martin’s. It funds faculty and staff salaries, academic programming, student support services, classroom materials, and campus maintenance—ensuring a consistently excellent day-to-day education.

But it is the added generosity of our parents that allows St. Martin’s to go above and beyond. Through fundraising and volunteer leadership, enhancements become possible—bringing new resources, opportunities, and joy to students across every grade level. These efforts support:

  • Cutting-edge technology and classroom tools

  • Expanded enrichment, athletics, and arts programming

  • Professional development for faculty and staff

  • Upgraded facilities that serve the whole community

  • Tangible enhancements that enrich everyday student life

Together, we are building a campus of opportunity.

The impact of St. Martin’s parent community is seen in every corner of the school. It’s felt in the spirit of collaboration, the strength of our programs, and the sense of belonging shared by students and teachers alike.

St. Martin’s is more than a place to learn—it’s a place where students are known, challenged, and celebrated. And that’s possible, in large part, because of the unwavering support of our families.

Ways to Get Involved

Whether helping with a one-time event or joining a year-round committee, there are countless ways for parents to get involved through the Saints Community Organization (SCO):

Hospitality Committee

The Hospitality Committee embodies the warmth and generosity that define the St. Martin’s community. This group welcomes new families, supports community members in times of need, and organizes thoughtful touchpoints throughout the year—including the beloved Teacher Appreciation Week.

Moms’ Club

The Moms’ Club is a welcoming and inclusive group that fosters friendship, connection, and fun among StM mothers. From hosting social gatherings to supporting campus events, this club helps strengthen the fabric of our parent community.

Dads’ Club

The Dads’ Club brings together fathers across all divisions to create a strong network of support and involvement. The group helps organize social events and gatherings that foster community spirit and connection.

Book Fair & Birthday Book Club

This committee organizes the annual fall Book Fair and runs the year-round Birthday Book Club—an opportunity for Lower School families to celebrate a child’s birthday by donating a book to the library in their honor. Each book includes a personalized bookplate, creating a lasting legacy of reading and learning.

Gala Committee

The spring Gala is St. Martin’s largest annual fundraiser, and the Gala Committee is the powerhouse behind it. Volunteers help secure auction items and donations, bring the event to life with creative decor, and support efforts that raise vital funds for the people and programs that make St. Martin’s exceptional.

Booster Club

The Booster Club exists to uplift and energize St. Martin’s athletic programs. By organizing community-building events and athletics-focused fundraising efforts, this group ensures that student-athletes and coaches have the support, resources, and spirit they need to thrive.

Golf Tournament Committee

The Annual Golf Tournament directly supports StM Athletics. Volunteers help plan and coordinate this exciting fundraiser, which raises essential funds for equipment, uniforms, coaching resources, and more—benefiting over 20 varsity and JV sports teams.

Fine Arts Alliance

This group champions the visual and performing arts at St. Martin’s, supporting everything from musical productions and choir concerts to art showcases and theater performances. Volunteers help plan events and fundraisers that enrich the creative experiences of our students.
