“To me, what separates St. Martin's from other schools is the sense of values that the school instills as an overarching theme across the learning experience. The mission of St. Martin’s and what it strives to bring to the table outside of the classroom, that was critical to my decision for where I would send my children. I want my kids to have the best opportunity to become the type of individual they want to become, and I know this school emphasizes a strong sense of character, integrity, and values from a very young age.”

Our Episcopal Tradition

St. Martin’s is the only Episcopal school in the New Orleans area that serves students 8 weeks old through 12th grade. Our Episcopal identity guides how we educate and shape children through the development of strong moral and ethical values, compassion, and empathy in every student. We believe in respecting others, speaking honestly, offering kindness, and serving the community in celebration and worship of God. We value diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in all its forms.

A Love of Thinking and Learning

We inspire curiosity in our students, the first step to developing a love of learning. We believe in teaching students how to learn and how to think, not what to think. When they know how to think, they’re not just prepared for today’s test or tomorrow’s academic year, but prepared to grow as citizens who contribute to their broader community.

Academic Excellence

We respect our students and set high expectations for them. The result is that our students rise to the occasion. We are a rigorous college preparatory school and our graduates are leaders across New Orleans and beyond. Our alumni have helped to shape their communities in the fields of medicine, law, policy, real estate, education, politics, the arts, and more. Our graduates are prepared not only for college, but for careers that are not yet imagined.

A Supportive and Diverse Community

We care about our students as people and we care about the people we help them become. St. Martin’s provides a welcoming atmosphere, and we have a strong, tight-knit community. We believe in welcoming children and families from all faiths, backgrounds, and perspectives. Many of our students are not Episcopalian, but bring their own faith traditions into the creation of a uniquely sacred space. Our faculty serve as mentors and also nurture our students, providing the safety and support that allow our students to stretch themselves and become who they are meant to be.

A Campus of Opportunity

St. Martin’s beautiful, expansive campus provides many and varied spaces both indoors and outdoors where students can learn, explore, and thrive. With visual and performing arts spaces, such as a pottery studio and 500-seat theatre to athletic facilities, such as an indoor swimming pool, two full-size gymnasiums, and a lighted football field — and more — our 18-acre campus is filled with the opportunities, tools, and support students need to uncover new interests, develop a variety of skills, design their own path, and foster their purpose. With guidance from expert faculty, coaches, and mentors, students experience a wide range of resources that allow their curiosity and potential to be nurtured and realized.

It is the policy of St. Martin's Episcopal School to administer its educational programs, including admission and financial aid, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, or disability.
