College Counseling
The college counseling department provides an individualized search and application experience for each student. The program begins informally in the freshman year with course selection advice and culminates in a personalized search for the student’s “best-fit” colleges. Seniors benefit from individual attention and support throughout the college application process, with access to the counselor during weekly application workshops and as needed on an individual basis.
The key to a successful college search is the student’s engagement in the process. While it is our belief that the college search is an adventure, we expect our students to participate in serious self-reflection to identify appropriate goals and strategies for success. The college counselor offers encouragement and expertise to guide the student through that quest.
At St. Martin’s, the College Counseling process begins in the 9th grade and proceeds through the student’s Senior year.
“I felt like I was overly prepared for college after graduating from St. Martin's, and I attribute my professional success today to my experience as a Saint. True to its mission, St. Martin’s prepared me for life.”
