C’est Magnifique! First Graders Celebrate Jour de France
February 10th, 2026
C’est magnifique! Our first graders recently wrapped up their France unit with Jour de France, a joyful and educational celebration held in the Solomon Theater.
Throughout the unit, students immersed themselves in French culture and learning—practicing French phrases, discovering famous French artists, researching iconic landmarks, and even designing France-themed t-shirts. The experience blended language, art, geography, and creativity in a way that made learning both meaningful and memorable.
Last week, families were invited to see their learning come to life as students shared French songs, dances, and interactive games, followed by a showcase of their artwork and landmark creations. The program was a wonderful example of how hands-on, interdisciplinary learning builds confidence, curiosity, and global awareness at an early age.
