"State singles champion Jophie LaForge and younger brother Max accounted for all the team scoring as St. Martin’s earned a runner-up team trophy at the state tennis tournament that concluded Tuesday.
Jophie LaForge, a senior, won five matches over two days, including a 6-4, 6-1 victory against John Fontenot of Vermilion Catholic in the Division IV singles final.
That, combined with the two match victories for Max on Monday, gave St. Martin’s 7½ points, one ahead of third-place Country Day. Vermilion Catholic won with 8½ points."
