St. Martin’s Students Earn Multiple Podium Finishes at 2026 Louisiana Science Olympiad State Championships

St. Martin’s Science Olympiad team earned a sixth-place overall finish at the Louisiana Science Olympiad State Championships, competing against 10 teams in a rigorous day of competition held Saturday, March 21, 2026.
Hosted on the campus of Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, the state tournament challenged students with events across anatomy, astronomy, engineering, and environmental science.
Individual Event Medalists
Saints earned multiple podium finishes, particularly in engineering, physics, and design-focused events:
- 2nd Place – Bungee Drop: Alex Diaz and Branden Saucier
- 2nd Place – Electric Vehicle: Grayson Lambert and Drew Zhou
- 2nd Place – Engineering CAD: Grayson Lambert and Drew Zhou
- 2nd Place – Experimental Design: Nia Norton, Branden Saucier, and Juliet Whitaker
- 3rd Place – Hovercraft: Barrett Boad and James Leftwich
- 3rd Place – Robot Tour: Grayson Lambert and Drew Zhou

Several additional teams earned top-five placements, contributing to the school's overall standing:

- 4th Place – Helicopter
