St. Martin’s Student Earns Bronze in Regional NAACP ACT-SO Competition

April 24th, 2026

St. Martin’s Episcopal School is proud to announce that sophomore TJ Green ’28 has been recognized as one of the premier young vocalists in the New Orleans area. Competing in the 2026 NAACP ACT-SO New Orleans Local Competition, TJ delivered a standout performance to secure the Bronze Medal in the highly competitive Vocal Classical category.

The NAACP ACT-SO is a year-long enrichment program designed to recruit, stimulate, and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African American high school students. TJ’s recognition among the top vocalists in the New Orleans area highlights both his individual dedication to his craft and the vibrant artistic spirit fostered on our campus.

Facing a field of talented performers from across the region, TJ’s success in the classical division demonstrates a mastery of technique and a deep commitment to musical excellence. This achievement serves as a testament to the hard work and discipline required to compete at such a high level in the local scholarship competition. We congratulate TJ on this impressive milestone and for representing St. Martin’s with such distinction in the Greater New Orleans community.
