Seventh and Eighth Graders Shine at Louisiana Youth Legislature
March 20th, 2026
Our 7th and 8th grade students recently returned from an incredible trip to Baton Rouge for the Youth Legislature program, where they joined peers from across Louisiana in a hands-on government experience.
After weeks of preparation, students spent two exciting days presenting and defending their bills on the chamber floor. By questioning deeply and critically, they demonstrated the curiosity and critical thinking skills that define a St. Martin’s graduate. We are proud to share that five of our students’ bills were passed and signed into mock law, a true testament to their initiative and ability to communicate ideas effectively. A special highlight of the trip was our Middle School choir’s beautiful performance at the opening ceremony. We are so proud of our Saints!
