Pre-K Explores the Concept of Community
September 22nd, 2025
Our Pre-K Saints are learning all about community helpers—the people who keep our neighborhoods healthy, safe, and connected. So far, they’ve met Dr. Aaron Thompson, Nurse Eileen Smilari, and even postal worker Earl Egan, who brought his mail truck to campus and let students climb inside! They also took a field trip to Jefferson Parish Fire Station 16, where firefighters welcomed them aboard a real fire truck.
This study will culminate in one of our most beloved Lower School traditions: Community Day. For nearly 40 years, Pre-K students have transformed into workers in a pretend town—discovering how helping others, being a good neighbor, and serving with heart can make a real difference.
