Pre-K Celebrates Community Day Tradition
October 7th, 2025
Our youngest Saints stepped into the roles of community helpers for one of our most beloved Lower School traditions. For nearly 40 years, Community Day has helped students understand what it means to serve others and be good neighbors.
In the days leading up to the event, Pre-K students have been learning all about the people who keep our neighborhoods healthy, safe, and connected. They’ve also been exploring how our community is laid out by reading maps. By Friday, they were ready to put their learning into practice, discovering how helping others and serving with a heart can make a real difference. Each student served in a “job” within their community and earned a paycheck. Then, they were able to take that check and decide how they’d like to spend their hard-earned money—by purchasing treats like ice cream or beignets, going to a salon/barber shop, watching a movie, going bowling, shopping at a store, and more. Great work, Pre-K!
