Kindergarten Bakes Bread in Exploration of Season of Fall
October 4th, 2024
Our Kindergarteners have been exploring the season of fall and recently had the opportunity to bake bread using a favorite fall ingredient – apples! Students tasted red, green, and yellow apples and compared the taste of each. They also discussed the life cycle of an apple tree. Using the leftover apples, students made apple bread. Finally, they tasted candy apples. Using the familiar fruit gave teachers a way to help students practice math, reading, and science skills by providing sensory-rich experiences to deepen the learning.
