Junior Cooper Wakefield ’27 Named One of Nola.com’s Prep Baseball Pitchers to Watch

St. Martin’s Episcopal School junior Cooper Wakefield ’27 has been named to Nola.com’s list of “12 New Orleans area prep baseball pitchers to watch this season,” recognizing his standout performance on the mound and his impact as a multi-sport athlete.
Wakefield is a three-sport athlete at St. Martin’s, competing in football, baseball, and basketball. As the Saints’ top starting pitcher, he finished last season with a 5–2 record, a 2.20 ERA, and 50 strikeouts over 60.1 innings pitched. He also contributed offensively, posting a .313 batting average.
