First Grade Video Chats with Iditarod Volunteer
March 20th, 2024
Recently, first grade spent some time learning about the Last Great Race -- The Iditarod. After learning about the history and rules of the race, each student chooses a musher to follow, completes a biography of that musher, and creates their very own sled dog. This year, students were fortunate to video chat with Deb Davis, a family friend of our very own Sawyer B. Ms. Davis helps input the information into the Iditarod.com race center. First grade loved getting some inside scoop about the race!
