Eighth Grade Latin Takes Experiential Learning Trip
December 9th, 2024
Our eighth grade Latin class recently took a field trip to Lakeside Shopping Center and went puellae vs. pueri on a quest to find as many words with "Latin DNA" as possible. In addition to their knowledge of Latin roots, students used a set of 16 clues as a guide to help determine if a word has some of its origin from Latin, and they confirmed each of their findings using the Online Etymology Dictionary. This dedicated group took the mission seriously while also having plenty of fun.
