2024-25 Parent Fundraising Update from the Head of School
May 20th, 2025
Dear St. Martin’s Parents,
As we wrap up the school year at St. Martin’s, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our entire parent body who has given their time, talent, and treasure this year.
Led by Saints Community Organization clubs and committees – The Gala Committee, Booster Club, Moms’ Club, Dads’ Club, Golf Tournament Committee, Fine Arts Alliance, Hospitality Committee, Book Fair and Birthday Book Club Committee – you have truly made a difference! Your support through volunteering and fundraising doesn’t just enhance our school—it transforms it.
Your tuition dollars support the daily needs of our classrooms and campus—including faculty and staff salaries, classroom supplies, academic programming, student support services, and campus operations.
The additional generosity shown through our parent-led fundraising efforts allows us to go above and beyond—elevating the St. Martin’s experience in meaningful, tangible ways. Thanks to your involvement we’re continuously building a campus of opportunity.
Because of you, next year’s students will walk into classrooms and onto playgrounds that feel more dynamic, imaginative, and inspiring than ever before. A few of the new additions your generosity made possible include:
- In George Cottage, our youngest Saints will explore new Community Playthings activity sets, musical glockenspiels, balancing elements, and wooden block sets that inspire imaginative play and foundational motor skills.
- In Lower School, students will benefit from dry-erase tables that turn learning into interactive exploration, ergonomic floor seating for more flexible classroom experiences, and new outdoor games like Four Square in the Air, soccer goals, and tetherball that will energize recess and PE. On the playground, new Big Blue Blocks and loose part bone sets will turn free play into powerful opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and physical activity.
- In Middle School, a new interactive whiteboard and digital microscope and Anatomage Interactive 3D Science Lessons will bring science lessons to life, and STUCO’s new photo booth and karaoke machine will create joyful moments that make Middle School memories truly unforgettable.
- In Upper School, academic support will be strengthened with new Chromebooks, flat-screen monitors in classrooms, and research-grade microscopes that allow science students to project their slides and analyze them together—mirroring real-world lab collaboration.
- Across campus, a new mid-stage traveler curtain for the theater and a new chapel projector will enhance performances, presentations, and worship experiences for students of every age. New scoreboards will also be installed on both the softball and football fields, enhancing the experience for athletes and fans alike.
These are more than just purchases. They are investments—in your children’s joy, curiosity, and growth. We couldn’t do it without your continued support and partnership.
We are amazed and humbled by the impact of your giving. Every dollar raised has been thoughtfully directed toward items that enhance student learning, connection, and community life. It is our responsibility and privilege to steward these funds with care, and to ensure they directly benefit the people who matter most—our students.
Your partnership makes all the difference. Together, we are not just a school community—we are a place where opportunity, imagination, and excellence are lived out every single day.
With gratitude and Saints pride,
Whitney Drennan ’94
