Saints Shine at Spring Athletic Awards Ceremony
May 6th, 2025
Many high-achieving Saints were recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the Spring Athletic Awards ceremony on May 5, in the Adkerson Gymnasium. Athletic Awards were presented to numerous winter athletes, who were recognized for their accomplishments on the field of play.
St. Martin’s athletes had an outstanding year in 2024–25, marked by both team and individual excellence. Fifteen student-athletes earned All-Academic honors, and two teams—Girls Basketball and Bowling—claimed District Championships. Six teams advanced to the playoffs, with standout performances across the board. Juliette Magner became a State Champion in the 100 Backstroke, while Max LaForge was State Runner-Up in Tennis. Both the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams also finished as State Runners-Up. Saints earned 28 All-District First Team selections (and counting), and Eamon Velasquez was selected to an All-Star team. Six athletes were named All-State, including Harlem Berry, Cooper Helmke, Aidan Irwin, and Juliette Magner, with Garri Lawson and Eamon Velasquez earning Second Team honors. Three Saints—Berry, Helmke, and Magner—also received All-Metro recognition. Capping off the year, five student-athletes signed to compete at the collegiate level: Harlem Berry, Cooper Helmke, Meera Hijazi, Cole LaCoste, and Juliette Magner.
