Students and Faculty Member Deliver Join Presentation at NSTA Conference

St. Martin's Makerspace Coordinator Robby Stanley and three students, Juliet Whitaker ’26, Sadie Miller ’29, and Drew Kosarek ’29, presented at the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) 2024 National Conference on Science Education on Saturday, November 9, 2024. The group's presentation, "Design Thinking In Action: How we do design thinking projects to maximize student impact," featured Mr. Stanley and our students discussing how Innovation + Design class projects have helped them learn and grow. Juliet, Sadie, and Drew told the audience of educators from across the country how they met with clients to assess needs and wants and shepherded their ideas through the prototyping and testing phases in their I+D classes at StM.

"I'm so proud of how Juliet, Sadie, and Drew represented St. Martin's during our session," said Stanley. "They spoke so well of their projects and experiences with our I+D program. It's students like these that make St. Martin's a very special place to grow and learn."
