Congratulations to our Science Olympiad Team for a strong showing this weekend. The team placed 4th overall at the 2025 Louisiana State Championships—beating out top schools from across the state and bringing home:

The accolades and scholarship offers for the Class of 2025 keep coming in! With 168 college acceptances and over $3.15 million in scholarship offers—and that number continues to grow—the Class of 2025 is more than ready for the next step in their academic journey. In addition, four of our student-athletes have secured commitments to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Please join us in congratulating Isabel Lovera ’25, who was recently awarded the prestigious James B. Duke Scholarship at Furman University! Isabel is the second St. Martin’s student in three years to earn this highly competitive, merit-based scholarship, following Alexis Akers ’23, who was also named a recipient.
Awarded to only the top 1-2% of applicants based on exceptional academic achievement, leadership, service, and co-curricular involvement, this scholarship provides full coverage for tuition, room, board, and fees. It is renewable for four years. As part of the scholarship, recipients join Furman’s Community of Scholars and participate in the Riley Institute’s Advantage Scholars program—a three-day residential experience for incoming freshmen focused on real-world issues and community-building.

Today, our 7th and 8th grade choir members helped open the Youth Legislature session at the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge by singing the national anthem. Both grades are participating in the program, which provides our students with a hands-on opportunity to engage in the democratic process, develop essential leadership skills, and enhance their ability to think critically about government and policy.
