Chike Ozah ’96 Serves as 2024 Ring Day Speaker

March 14th, 2024

When the juniors of the Class of 2025 received their class rings in the Dan and Frances White Chapel on March 14, 2024, St. Martin’s alumnus Chike Ozah ’96 was there. The renowned director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and producer, and 1/2 of directing duo Coodie & Chike returned to his alma mater to serve as Ring Day speaker, hoping to inspire current Saints.

In his remarks to the students, families, faculty, and staff gathered, he encouraged students to find their passion. “If you don’t know what your passion is, figure out what is the thing that you would do for free... then find a way to fuel that passion... Find what you love and then connect that with faith. Connect your passion, faith, and goals together.”

Ozah referenced the faith foundation that is at the heart of St. Martin's mission and encouraged students to lean in to their faith as they face struggles in life.

"You're going to face a lot of tasks, they're going to feel very daunting," he said. "You're not going to know how you're going to achieve this because they feel larger than life. But I promise you, you can just get in the driver's seat, put that energy in God, and He will take care of it."

St. Martin's extends its thanks to Chike Ozah ’96 and the many alumni that return to campus each year to meet with and serve as inspiration for current Saints.
