Student Experience

Technology Tools

Technology skills and computer science help students understand and play an active role in developing the technology that drives the world in which we live. St. Martin’s offers computer science formally and informally in Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School.

Lower School students work on typing skills and coding concepts. In addition, students explore coding through the use of robots and may even move on to Javascipt or other coding languages of their choice. Middle School students continue to develop typing skill mastery and develop and apply Python or Java coding skills. Students work on individualized coding projects. In addition, Middle School students learn basic and advanced techniques in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. In addition to continuing mastery of technology skills throughout all their coursework, Upper School students have the opportunity to enroll in an independent study / internship course.
