“The Adventures of Alice” Takes the Stage October 4-7

“The Adventures of Alice” Takes the Stage October 4-7
St. Martin's Performing Arts Department presents "The Adventures of Alice," a steampunk adaptation of two classic Lewis Carroll books, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass." Written by St. Martin's Director of Theater Jason Kirkpatrick, the musical runs Tuesday, Oct. 4 through Friday, Oct. 7 in the Solomon Theater.

This energetic, inspiring show will take the familiar characters of Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat to a retro-futuristic fantasy world featuring original music composed by Oliver Bonnie. Technical Theater Director Emily Ross’s set brings to life an alternate Alice universe, complete with the gears, steam-powered machinery, and the industrial look of Victorian England. Director of Performing Arts Meredith Long-Dieth’s elaborate costumes feature an aesthetic of equal parts history and science fiction.
