St. Martin’s Cross Country Dominates at District Meet
Longevity of success is the defining characteristic of a sports dynasty, and after securing their fourth- and seventh-consecutive 8-1A district championship titles yesterday, St. Martin’s girls and boys cross country teams may well be on their way to earning that distinction.

GIRLS VARSITY
Leading the way to the girls team’s fourth-consecutive District 8-1A title was the individual district girls champion, sophomore Isabella Bartholomew, with a time of 20:56 for the three-mile course. Also in the scoring five for StM were: eighth grader Rian McManus (2nd place), senior Anabella Imbornone (3rd place), seventh grader Kaitlyn Hall (5th place), and junior Katie Williams (8th place). Also representing St. Martin’s in this race were junior Eleanor Parker (9th place), senior Gabriela Killett (12th place), and freshman Lauren Bone (13th place).

Additionally, Isabella Bartholomew, Kaitlyn Hall, Anabella Imbornone, Rian McManus, Eleanor Parker, and Katie Williams were named to the 2018 District 8-1A Cross Country All-District Girls Team.

BOYS VARSITY
The St. Martin’s boys cross country team is district champion for the seventh year in a row!

Leading the way to the district title for the boys team was individual district champion senior Samuel Kellum, with a time of 16:32 for the three-mile course. Also in the scoring five for St. Martin’s boys team were: senior Rico Coleman (2nd place), senior Ben Bone (3rd place), junior Pryce Anthony (12th place), and sophomore Thomas Devall (14th place).  Also representing StM in this race were eighth grader Justin Hall (15th place), and freshmen Daniel Thompson, James Garvey, and Elliott Schmedtje.

Additionally, Benjamin Bone, Rico Coleman, and Samuel Kellum were named to the 2018 District 8-1A Cross Country All-District Boys Team.
