Jump Start is a great way to help prepare students for the upcoming school year. Students will review important concepts in English and/or math from the previous year, and touch on new skills to give them a head start for the next school year.
Jump Start for first through third grade is from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., July 23 - 27. Jump Start for fourth grade runs for two weeks from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., July 16 - 27.
Fifth through eighth grade Jump Start is July 16 - 27. Classes run for an hour and a half each day and take place from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. or 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Ninth grade Jump Start will run from July 16 - 27. Class times to be announced soon.
Lingle Academy hosts two different Driver’s Ed sessions on campus this summer. The classes will be June 11 - 15 and July 9 - 13, from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a lunch break in the middle. For more information and to register for the class, visit www.lingledrivingacademy.com.
Courses for Credit
New credit Geometry is offered June 4 - July 27, from 9:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m., with a lunch break. Students may bring lunch or purchase lunch in the Saints Dining Hall. Enrollment in this course requires the approval of both the math department chair and the Head of Upper School. This course will be used as credit to meet graduation requirements, recorded on the student's transcript, and factored into the student's cumulative GPA. The cost is $1,250 plus a $25 registration fee. Register online now.
Life Skills is offered from 10 a.m. to noon, July 2 - 27. The course is open to St. Martin’s rising juniors and seniors only. It will be used as credit to meet graduation requirements, recorded on the student's transcript, and factored into the student's cumulative GPA. The cost is $625 plus a $25 registration fee.
ACT Prep Course
The ACT prep course is June 25 - July 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The official July ACT test date is July 14. The focus of the course will be practice problems. Strategy, test format, and time management will also be discussed. The instructor will emphasize general concepts and support them with problems from the ACT workbook, provided by the school. Two full-length tests will be given during the course. On testing days, class will be an additional hour. This class is open to any rising sophomore, junior, or senior from any school. The cost is $650 plus a $25 registration fee.
