Head of School

Welcome from Head of School Merry Sorrells

Welcome to our website, the window to life on our campus and our global community. From its inception, our school has been a training ground for leaders. The combination of academic rigor, healthy competition, spiritual prowess, and selfless giving provide the perfect backdrop for a life of success and service. We prepare our students to thrive in college and in life by instilling in them the values we hold so close; faith, scholarship and service. As our facilities continue to grow and change, they remain second to none in the New Orleans area. We graduate bright, caring successful citizens who meet the world head-on and contribute incalculably to its betterment.

St. Martin’s is an Academic Powerhouse. We have an amazing record of sending our students to the colleges of their dreams. They excel in sports and academics, shine on the stage, create extraordinary works of art and literature, and develop lifelong friendships. We teach them to think and solve realworld problems. They learn to serve where they see opportunities or needs. All of that should be, and could be, enough. But we don’t stop there.

What I love most about our school, what sets us so far apart from other schools, is that we teach our students to reach deep spiritually. We coach them to seek the good, to ferret it out and cherish it out. The St. Martin’s experience will guide and inform them throughout their lives. And that is the value of having your children at St. Martin’s, growing up in our faith-based school.

I strongly encourage you to visit our campus and meet the leaders of the future!
