On January 19 and 20, St. Martin’s Performing Arts Department will host the inaugural New Orleans One-Act Festival for Upper and Middle School students from local schools. The festival, which will be open to the public, will include theatre games, master classes, and performances. Schools will compete against each other by staging a one-act play in 40 minutes or less. Following each one-act, a local guest artist will provide feedback on the performances, the set, the costumes, and the staging to the entire cast and crew. Upper School performances will take place Jan. 19 from 6-9 p.m. Middle School will perform Jan. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
