Students Receive Superior Ratings at LMEA Festival
Eleven St. Martin’s students participated in the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA) solo and small ensemble festival Wednesday, Feb. 22. All eleven participants received at least one superior rating for their group performance, and several also received superior ratings for their solos.

The Small Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Louise LaBruyere, was composed of students in Middle and Upper School. Their performance of  “Wade in the Water” received an I-Superior rating, the highest rating possible. Those students are: Lillian Doskey, Prudence Dudley, Camila Figueroa, Andrew Gary, Iris Hu, Rimi Mandal, Rian McManus, George Mueller, Molly Rivas, Sunny Xu, and Steven Zhao.

Several students received I-Superior ratings for solo performances: Prudence Dudley, for “Slumber Song,” Camila Figueroa, for “Oh, Dear, What Can the Matter Be?,” Andrew Gary, for “Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal,” and George Mueller, for “Erie Canal.”
