Three Members of the Class of 2021 Named National Merit Finalists

Seniors Renee Angerer, Isabella Bartholomew, and Clara Conatser have been recognized as National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. 

Renee Angerer is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. John Angerer of River Ridge. Isabella Bartholomew is the daughter of Dr. Joan Cheng of Metairie and Dr. Bradley Bartholomew of Metairie. Clara Conatser is the daughter of Mr. Kelly Conatser ’79 and Dr. Leslie Blake ’80 of Kenner.

About 1.6 million juniors in 22,000 high schools entered the National Merit Competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Those who score in the top 1% achieve the distinction of National Merit Semifinalist. Most of these students move on to become National Merit Finalists, with some winning scholarship money for college.
