Cloaks and Dresses Celebrates Successful Clothing Drives

St. Martin’s Cloaks and Dresses Club had a very successful fall and winter as it continued to collect new and used clothing items to benefit the New Orleans Child Advocacy Center. Led by  senior Clara Conatser, club founder and president, the club donated 42 new and used items in the fall. After its Winter Warm Clothing Drive, the club received 6 new coats and 49 gently used coats, as well as 10 new and 86 gently used items of warm clothing. Altogether over 190 items were collected and delivered to the New Orleans Child Advocacy Center in mid-December.

The club is grateful for StM’s Upper School advisories who participated. Mr. Ray Scioneaux’s, Mr. Warren Lind’s, and Madame Cissy Rowley’s advisories donated the most, and were treated to lava cakes as a reward. Buoyed by the success of the fall and winter drives, the club is planning additional work in the spring.

Club members include Abbie Beck, Rikki Bourg, Kaylee Caracci, Clara Conatser, Prudence Dudley, Cami Figueroa, Grace Fleshman, Leven Greene, Katie LaForge, Diamond Lewis, Ryn Patin, Ava Richard, Catherine Ronquillo, and Rachel Royerre. Ms. Mary Bond is the club’s faculty advisor.
