Senior Honored by New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation
Senior Adriana Paz was honored as a New Orleans Hispanic Foundation Scholar for the third consecutive year. Paz has been a student at St. Martin’s since 2015. She has been class president since her freshman year. A member of the National Honor Society, she is also editor-in-chief for the school newspaper (The Halo), and a member of the cross country team.
Among other initiatives, the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation (NOHHF) seeks, encourages, and supports talented Hispanic high school students by providing them with educational scholarships at local schools participating in the NOHHF Scholarship Program.
Since 1993 the NOHHF has awarded more than $800,000 and 800 scholarships to qualified students. Each school participating in the program recommends candidates to the NOHHF Scholarships Committee. The committee reviews the recommendations and approves them, based on the availability of funds and other criteria.
