Middle School Girls Win NOAL Cross Country Championship
Race conditions were excellent with cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 80’s at the start of the competition. St. Martin’s runners were up to the challenge with many of our athletes running strong and earning numerous medals. 
 
7th & 8th Girls Race – 2.0 miles
St. Martin’s girls' team once again ruled the day! The girls were the 2020 team champions! The girls placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 13th to finish with an excellent team score of 28. Leading the way for the saints was Juliet Whitaker finishing as an individual race champion for the third consecutive year at this event. Juliet earned a gold medal for her 1st place finish and covered the course in 12:42.85. Next up was Meera Hijazi earning a silver medal for her 2nd place finish. Meera had a new lifetime personal best time of 12:47.52. She was followed by Nia Norton earning a bronze medal for her 3rd place finish. Bellen Davis finished 9th earning a medal for her efforts. Devyn McManus finished 13th overall. Devyn was the highest placing 6th grade runner in this 7-8 event.  
 
7th & 8th Boys Race – 2 miles 
The boys ran hard and took advantage of the excellent racing conditions. Leading the way for the boys' team was Peyton Crosby covering the 2-mile course in a new personal best time of 12:05.70. Peyton finished in 6th place earning a medal for his efforts. He was followed by Frankie Cusimano with an 10th place finish and he also earned a medal. (Frankie’s time of 12:57.14 for the 2-mile course was a lifetime personal best time.) Noah Hingel can in next for St. Martin’s finishing 21st overall.
