Middle School Girls Cross Country Team Wins Mole Hill Run
Despite challenging race conditions, the Middle School girls’ cross country team took home the Mole Hill Run championship at Lafreniere Park on Tuesday, October 7. Several other StM athletes posted strong finishes and earned t-shirt awards and medals.

Seventh and Eighth Grade Girls’ Race – 2 miles

St. Martin’s girls’ team placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 13th to finish with an excellent team score of 26. Leading the way for the Saints was Meera Hijazi, who earned a gold medal and t-shirt for her 1st place finish. Next up was Julie Whitaker, who earned a silver medal and t-shirt award for her 2nd place finish. She was followed by Nia Norton, whose third-place finish earned her a bronze medal and t-shirt. Devyn McManus’ 7th place finish earned a medal and t-shirt for her efforts. Bellen Davis finished 13th overall and earned a t-shirt award.

Seventh and Eighth Grade Boys’ Race – 2 miles

The boys’ team ran hard and did not let the heat bother them. Leading the way was Peyton Crosby, who ran to a 6th place finish and earned a medal and t-shirt award. He was followed by Frankie Cusimano with an 11th place finish and earned a t-shirt award. (Frankie’s time of 13:00 for the 2-mile course was a lifetime personal best time!) Noah Hingel came in next, finishing 16th overall all and earned a t-shirt award.
