When Eliza Morin was in fourth grade, she worked with Lower School librarian Ethel Madden to turn her dream of writing a children's book into a reality.

Eliza always knew she wanted to be an author, but it wasn't until she received a push from Mrs. Madden that she was able to pursue her passion. Over the course of two school years, Eliza and Mrs. Madden worked on several drafts and published the final manuscript in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

St. Martin's faculty members, like Librarian Ethel Madden, believe in doing whatever it takes to support our students.

“We at St. Martin’s will go the extra mile to make it happen," said Madden. "We will make sure our students know that they can succeed at any dream they have, and that we will be there with them.”
