The Saints varsity cross country team ran is the 2019 District 9-1A Cross Country Championships on November 5 at Audubon Park. The St. Martin’s girls and boys cross country teams are the district 9-1A runners-up.
It was a close, exciting event with just three points separating first and second place. Leading the way for StM was individual district girls runner-up, Isabella Bartholomew with a time of 19:55 for the three-mile course. Also in the scoring five for the Saints were: Rian McManus (3rd place), Kaitlyn Hall (7th place), Katie Williams (9th place), and Bellen Davis (10th place). Also representing St. Martin’s in this race were: Lauren Bone (12th place), Maria Cusimano (13th place), Adriana Paz, Samantha Thompson, and Kaylee Caracci.
Named to the 2019 District 9-1A Cross Country All-District Girls Team: Isabella Bartholomew, Rian McManus, Kaitlyn Hall, Kathleen Williams, and Bellen Davis.
The boys team challenged the three-mile course at Audubon Park and many of the boys ran season or lifetime personal best times! Leading the way for StM was senior Emmanuel Fleischer-Djoleto with a new lifetime best time of 17:49 for the three-mile course which earned him fourth place overall. Also in the scoring five for St. Martin’s boys team were: Cort Anthony (5th place), Randolph Dunkin (6th place), Blake Verdigets (7th place), and Pryce Anthony (12th place). Also representing the Saints in this race were Justin Hall, Daniel Thompson, Harris Huber, and James Garvey.
