Middle School Cross Country runs in League Championships, Boys Team is Runner-Up
The Middle School cross country program travelled to Lafreniere Park to participate in the New Orleans Athletic League (NOAL) Cross Country Championships on Oct. 23. StM runners placed first in each race entered, and the boys 7th/8th grade team was the league runner-up. 

5th & 6th Grade Girls: 1.5-mile race
Juliet Whitaker successfully defended her race title by winning the 1.5-mile race for the second year in a row. She covered the course in 9:30.51. Devyn McManus finished in seventh place with a time of 10:49.16. Nia Norton finished eighth with a time of 10:49.16. All three girls earned medals for their efforts, and all three achieved new lifetime personal best times for this distance.

7th & 8th Grade Girls: 2-mile race
St. Martin’s entered two girls in this race, and they dominated the course and other entrants by finishing first and second in the race. Bellen Davis was the race champion, covering the 2-mile distance in 13:38.04. Kaitlyn Hall finished second with a time of 14:07.87. Both girls received medals for their superior performances.

7th & 8th Grade Boys: 2-mile race
Leading the way for St. Martin’s was Leland Crawford, placing fifth overall by covering the course in 11:49.42. Jack Flanagan came in sixth with a time of 11:52.15. He was immediately followed by Jack Collins, who finished with a time of 11:56.53. All three received medals for their superior efforts. The other two members of the scoring five were Tristen Bartholomew (12th place, 12:19.53 ) and Tommy Garvey (14th place, 12:20.35). Also representing St. Martin’s in this race were: Mason Bruneau, Peyton Crosby, Frankie Cusimano, Angelo Fassbender, and Carter Rigney, . Every boy in this race achieved a new lifetime personal best time for the 2-mile distance.
