Sophomore honored by New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation

Sophomore Adriana Paz was celebrated at the New Orleans Hispanic Foundation’s Scholars Reception on April 1. Among other initiatives, the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation (NOHHF) seeks, encourages, and supports talented Hispanic high school students by providing them with educational scholarships at local schools participating in the NOHHF Scholarship Program.

Paz has been a student at St. Martin’s since 2015. As an Upper School student, she has been class president both her freshman and sophomore years. She is a member of the National Honor Society and editor-in-chief for the school newspaper, The Halo.

Since 1993 the NOHHF has awarded more than $800,000 and 800 scholarships to qualified students. Each school participating in the program recommends candidates to the NOHHF Scholarships Committee. The committee reviews the recommendations and approves them, based on the availability of funds and other criteria.
