I’m sure you are as grateful as I am that the weekend is here! I hope the posting of assignments by 9 a.m. has made for a smoother workflow in your homes. I continue to value your feedback and that of your children.
Be sure to check the StM website this week as our (amazing) Student Support Services Team will be sharing various options for assisting your children during this time.
I wanted to remind you that the faculty are taking Monday for a Professional Development Day. We will use this time to reflect on what is/isn’t working, as well as to look toward how to continue to support our students during our time apart. Faculty will not be available for help sessions, but I can always be reached for any emergencies.
And, finally, third quarter grades will be visible on Monday afternoon. I apologize for the delay, but the teachers were asked to make a pretty monumental shift to online education just as we were closing the books on the third quarter. Many needed additional time to grade and record final assessments.
I leave you with this prayer:
it is night.
The night is for stillness.
Let us be still in the presence of God.
It is night after a long day.
What has been done has been done;
what has not been done has not been done;
let it be.
The night is quiet.
Let the quietness of your peace enfold us,
all dear to us,
and all who have no peace.
The night heralds the dawn.
Let us look expectantly to a new day,
new joys, new possibilities.
In your name we pray.
