Students in Middle School have the choice to take art for a full year. During the first semester all grade levels explore two-dimensional art such as drawing, collage, mixed media, printmaking and painting. The focus of the second semester is three-dimensional art including work in ceramics and assemblage processes. Art club is another offering in the middle school that gives students the opportunity for additional creative expression. A rotating display of student work can be found in the middle school hallway, the lobby of the Solomon Theatre and the Merrick Visual Arts Center.  |
