In the Lower School, we strive to instill a love of learning that will carry students
through life. To that end, we recognize and celebrate the uniqueness of each child as
they hone the reading, writing, mathematical, scientific, and social skills which will
serve them later in the Middle School and beyond. We stress the importance of being
a good citizen-through acts of kindness and service-as well as a good student. And
we encourage independent thinking, whether demonstrated through an interesting
insight in class or a new idea for a community service project.
